Web-based learning pages are a wonderful way to utilize the higher order thinking skills as well as technology in your everyday instruction. Our students today are entertained at home with the stunning graphics and computer effects of their video games. After being stimulated mentally by the high definition high action video games, what is there to be excited about in your classroom? There is a way to get your content in their minds while keeping their attention. Try Web-based Learning Pages! They are content-rich, graphically attractive, internet interactive, and challenging. Oh yeah, don't forget that they lead to mastering standards based outcomes if congruent webquests are chosen.
The purpose of this site is to raise your awareness of Web-based Learning Pages, why use them, how to use them, where to find them, and how to create on that is congruent to your standards based outcomes.

What are web-based learning pages? Web-based learning pages are web pages that provide a list of teacher-chosen resources for use in research, broadening understanding of a topic or engaging in higher order thinking activities. They are usually made by the teacher with a goal in mind that correlates with a particular topic of study. |

uploading it to the internet? Yes, by creating your webquest in Word or FrontPage, you can save it to each computer desktop or in My Documents. It doesn't have to be uploaded to work. However, the only students that will have access to this webquest will be the ones in your classroom. |
