Kentucky Waters Run  Deep
Hydrology  Web Quest

Introduction

There is water all around us...in us...on us...and under us!  The study of water is called hydrology.   Water is considered an abiotic factor in an ecosystem.  However, the biotic community that lives in the water depends on its physical, chemical and biological conditions.  To determine these conditions, one must examine and evaluate the stream's velocity, dissolved oxygen    content, temperature, pH levels,  and bottom type (i.e. sandy, bedrock or  gravel & rubble).

Task

You and your team are employed by the the Kentucky Water Qualiy Commission and you are required to give a Power point Presentation on an Overview of Water Quality in Kentucky to the U.S. Water Quality Commission.  If the U.S.W.Q.C. are impressed with your work then a large bonus is going to be recommended.
