During class the last several days you have read the novel Walkabout by James Vance Marshall. The setting is the harsh desert of the Australian Outback. The main characters of the story are the brother, sister and the Aboriginal boy on a "walkabout". Several events took place during their walkabout that were a direct result of the hot, dry environment of the Australian Outback.
